Je vais vous parler de la Guadeloupe. Ou se trouve t’elle ?, sa formation, son volcan, sa population.

Notre hémisphère :

Nous vivons dans l’hémisphère nord, régler votre GPS sur 16° 15’ nord et 61° 35’ ouest.

Notre Continent :

La Guadeloupe est située sur le continent Amérique Centrale et plus précisément dans les caraïbes.

La superficie :

1700 km2 La Guadeloupe est un archipel, sa signifie qu’elle est composée de plusieurs îles : la Guadeloupe elle-même est constituée de deux îles, la Basse terre et la grande terre, puis vient les îles proches, les Saintes, Marie Galante, et la Désirade, vient ensuite les îles plus éloignées, saint barthélemi et saint Martin qui est une île « partagée » avec la hollande.

Création des îles :

Toutes les îles sont créées grâce à l’action des volcans sauf pour la Grande terre qui est d’origine calcaire.

La soufrière :

Volcan de la Guadeloupe sur la Basse terre, son statut est : volcan actif.Type de volcan : Gris. Type Péléen.(volcan explosif provocant des nuées ardentes) Coordonnées GPS 16°3’ N et 61°40 O Il fait parti des 9 volcans actifs de la Caraïbe. Il serait âgé d’environ 200 000 ans C’est aussi le point le plus haut de la caraïbes avec ses 1484 mètres. Il tombe en moyenne 10 mètres d’eau pas an sur ses flancs.

Iles Française :

La Guadeloupe et son archipel sont attachés à la république Française en 1635.

Population :

La Guadeloupe compte plus de 453 000 habitants, la grande majorité est noirs à 90 %, les blancs sont 5%, les Indiens, Chinois et Libanais sont 5 % (a titre indicatif et en moyenne). La population est jeune, 32 % ont moins de 20 ans. 50 % ont moins de 35 ans.
